[Izuku stiffens, his eyes widening a fraction at that. And thoughtlessly, it causes him to reach up and put his fingers to his throat, feeling for the healing over cut that's surely there...it's not deep enough to scar, unlike the others.

He has to look away, because the tears are really welling up now the more he thinks about it, sniffing as the pain he feels with every breath he takes reminds him of just how damn close he came to not making it out of there.]

[Izuku breathes out shakily. He's not used to not having Recovery Girl's healing...the magic here is similar, but nowhere near as effective as her Quirk.]

Actually, he should change them again so he'll just...do that. ]

[That's fine, Izuku will be able to see his gnarly healing over wounds...and the even gnarlier burns Katsuki had no choice but to leave on him to actually save his life. Izuku is used to seeing himself injured, but...this is a little hard to look at.

At least until he notices something...different, up on his chest near his collarbone. He's looking at it upside down so it takes a moment for him to realize what it is, but...

It's a tattoo. A tattoo of a dragon skull with curled horns and sharp fangs, open-mouthed with flames arcing around it. On his CHEST.]

[ Katsuki, ever helpful as he slaps on salve: ]

[ One very heated hand slams Deku back into the bed. ]

[Izuku falls back with a pained sound, grimacing but not getting back up again...though that doesn't make him any less bewildered by the tattoo on his chest.]
